Your Hosts Chef/proprietors Colin Craig and Lesley Crosfield are the holders of various awards for their authentic Scottish hospitality and skillful interpretation of modern Scottish cooking. Now entering its 21st year, The Albannach was awarded a much coveted Michelin star in 2009. In December 2008, the hotel was awarded a Gold Star from VisitScotland's Quality Assurance Scheme, "in recognition of excellent hospitality and service". THE HOTEL IS OPEN UNTIL NEW YEAR, THEN CLOSED JANUARY UNTIL MID MARCH 2011 The hotel has recently undergone improvements, including the Byre suite, completed in 2008, boasting its own private terrace complete with hot tub and stunning mountain views. 
In 2002, the Which? Hotel Guide named the Albannach one of its Hotels of the Year; we were named West Coast Newcomer of the Year 2000 by the Good Food Guide, which awarded a 6/10 rating. We also hold awards for excellence from Scotland The Best! and Macallan Taste of Scotland as well as being rated by the Michelin Guide. 
Editorial reviews in publications such as Conde Nast Traveller, New York Times Travel and Leisure, Country Living and Best Scottish Weddings ensure a cosmopolitan following. A feature on The Albannach appears in May 2004 edition of Bon Appetit magazine. In January 2007, the Independent named the Albannach in the top ten of its 50 Best British Hotels. Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Centenary Scottish Tour (June 2007): said "Absolutely delightful small hotel - just 3 rooms and 2 suites - with a wine list that would do credit to any smart London restaurant. We highly recommend it. 10 out of 10".
