Looking for a longer, more self-sufficient visit to the area but prefer something that’s a little more like home than the ubiquitous ‘eco-pod’ (no judgment here!) then we’ve got you covered.
Our wee ‘granny flat’ is the perfect base for a deeper dive into Lochinver and the surrounding wilderness.
The main house is on the other side of the lawns, so you’ll have your own space but also some pretty cool neighbours.
Just bring food and clothes, if you like.
THE COACH HOUSE
A small self-catering apartment, above the garages and beside the kitchen garden in the grounds of The Albannach.
The living space is light and simple, we think it’s a bit Scandi. The bespoke plywood kitchen, was hand made in Scotland and all the gorgeous, encaustic tiles were hand poured by a lad (or lass) in Spain using traditional artisan techniques.
Parquet flooring runs through all the rooms, leading to the bathroom with a shower large enough for a party for two and a cosy bedroom with super soft linen bedding.
Outside, the private terrace is a sun trap (sun not guaranteed) and sits amongst the canopy of our small forest garden with quite spectacular views to the mountains.
In the summer months we’ll give you homegrown tomatoes and courgettes, but probably mostly courgettes.
